Popular Hotel Destinations
Cities you want to promote for hotel bookings, shown as cards that fill in the hotel search form for the visitor, and as suggestions in the hotel search box.

These cards appear only where the Popular hotel destinations block is on the page. The Hotel page has it by default. If you removed or hid it, add it back in Home pages → Hotel page. The suggestions in the hotel search box do not need the block.
Adding a destination
Add destination takes:

When editing, leaving the image empty keeps the current photo.
Each city can have one card. Adding a city that already has a card updates that card instead of adding a new one.
A card with no text shows the city name. A visitor browsing in a language the card has no text for sees the text in your platform's default language, or failing that English, or whichever language you did write.
Languages you remove are deleted when you save. The exception is removing every language: the card then keeps the texts it had.
The list
Destinations are shown with their city, image and display order. Edit or remove per row. Removing one stops visitors seeing it.
Edit hotel destination saves by city. Pick another city and it is saved as a new card, or onto that city's existing card, while the original stays in the list. With 10 destinations already, a change that would need a new card is refused. Remove the original, then add the city you want.
What customers see
A card with your image and title. Clicking it fills the destination of the hotel search form on the same page with that city, so the visitor only has to pick dates and guests and search.
Where no image is set, the card shows the country flag instead — usable, but far less appealing than a photograph of the place.
The same cities are also suggested in the hotel search form. When a visitor clicks the destination field, before typing anything, a Popular cities list opens with your destinations in display order, below the visitor's own recent searches. Each entry shows the city and its country, not your card title or image. A city already among the visitor's recent searches is not listed twice. Picking one fills the destination, just like a card. The list makes way for search results as soon as the visitor types.

Promote where you have the best rates
Check your hotel markups and recent orders to see which cities earn you the most, and feature those.
Seasonal rotation
Swap destinations when the season changes. There is no scheduling.
Launch into a new market
Add the city here, give it a proper photograph, and add a city-scoped hotel markup at a competitive rate.
Questions
Can I have more than ten? No.
Can I promote a country rather than a city? No — cities only. Popular Activity Destinations accepts either.
The destinations do not show on my site. The block is not on the Hotel page, or it is hidden. See Home pages. The suggestions in the hotel search box do not depend on the block.
