Custom Pages

Pages you write and publish on your storefront. Each one lives under a menu, which is what puts it into your navigation.

Before you start

Create the menu first

A page has to be assigned to a menu. You can create one mid-flow, but it is smoother to build your menus first and then fill them with pages.

Creating a page

Add New Page runs through three screens.

1. Page type

TypeWhat it is
Create Page Without LinkA real page with content you write
Create Page With LinkAn entry that points at an external address instead of holding content

2. Select menu

Pick the menu the page belongs under, or add one here. Only menus without a link of their own are listed.

A menu with an external link cannot hold custom pages

If a menu is itself a link, pages cannot sit under it. This is the most common confusion between these two screens.

3. The page

A page without a link has two steps: Basic Info, then Page Content. A page with a link has only Basic Info.

FieldAcceptsNotes
Title3–255 charactersRequired, per language
Display Order PriorityFirst to SixthWhere it sits among its siblings
Slug3–255 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, no spacesRequired on a page without a link. Shared across languages, and no two of your pages can use the same one
LinkA full URL starting with http:// or https://, or an internal path starting with /Link pages only
Meta Title3–255 charactersRequired on a page without a link. The browser and search title, per language
Meta Description3–255 charactersRequired on a page without a link. The search result description, per language
Keywords3–255 characters, comma separatedRequired on a page without a link. Per language
ContentRich textRequired on a page without a link, per language. Written on the Page Content step

Translations

The Translations section holds the title, and on a page without a link the SEO details and content, per language. The slug is shared across all of them.

A visitor browsing in a language you leave out sees this page in your platform's default language, or failing that English, or whichever language you did write. Enable a language only when you can write it — see Languages and currencies.

Search by title, slug, any meta field or link; sort newest or oldest.

Editing and deleting

Edit reopens the same form. Deleting a page also removes all its related information, including its translations.

The link pages under the two required footer columns, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund Guide, FAQs and Contact Us, cannot be deleted: the panel answers "This footer link is required and cannot be deleted." You can still edit them.

What customers see

Where the page is listed depends on its menu's position in Menus:

Menu positionThe page appears
FooterAs a link in that menu's footer column, in every footer layout
HamburgerAs an item in the collapsible menu in the header
HeaderNowhere in the navigation at the moment. Header menus are not shown on the storefront yet

Within a menu, pages are ordered by their display priority. A page without a link opens at /page/<slug> on your storefront and is listed for search engines whatever its menu; meta title and description are what search engines and shared links show.

Scenarios

An "About us" page in the footer

Create a footer menu called Our agency, then a page without a link titled About us under it, priority First.

A page with a link, pointing at the external address. No content to write.

A page for a language you have just enabled

Open the page, add that language in Translations, and write its title, SEO fields and content. The slug stays as it is.

Questions

My page does not appear on the site. Check the position of its menu: pages under a Header menu are not listed anywhere on the storefront yet. Move the page to a Footer or Hamburger menu.

Can I change a slug later? Yes, but anything already linking to the old address stops working.

Can two pages share a slug? No.

Where do refund and terms pages live? Not here — Content Pages.
