Creating an FAQ

Add New FAQ takes:

FieldAcceptsNotes
GroupOne of the nine groups belowRequired. Starts on General
Display OrderA whole number, 0 or greaterLower shows first within its group. Starts at 0
StatusVisible to visitors, or HiddenStarts on Visible to visitors
TranslationsQuestion and answer per languageAt least one required

Questions are 2–500 characters; answers have a 2-character minimum.

The groups

GroupFor questions about
GeneralAnything not specific to a product
Flight · Hotel · Activities · Tour · VisaThat service
Refund Policy · Terms of Service · Privacy PolicyThe matching content page

The last three pair with your legal pages, so the questions people actually ask sit next to the formal wording: they appear under the matching page in your help centre, not in the general FAQ list.

Translations

A missing language shows another one

An FAQ with no translation in the visitor's language still appears, in English, or if it has no English either, in the first language it was written in. Add a language in Translations and write both the question and the answer to show it in that language.

When editing, translations you omit keep their existing values rather than being cleared, so removing a language from the form does not delete that translation.

LanguagesWhich languages it is written in

Filter by group and by status; sort by display order ascending or descending, or by newest and oldest.

The Languages column is the fastest way to find FAQs left behind after you enabled a new language.

Editing and deleting

Deleting an FAQ removes all of its translations.

Hiding is the reversible alternative: set Status to hidden and it stays in your list but not on the site.

What customers see

Only FAQs whose status is visible appear, in display order.

WhereWhich FAQs
The help centre FAQ pageGeneral and the product groups, each under its own heading
The help centre's refund, terms and privacy pagesThe Refund Policy, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy group of that page
The FAQ block on a home pageThe group of that page's product: Flight on the Flight page, Tour on the Tour page, and so on. With none in that group, the block shows built-in defaults instead

A change can take up to five minutes to reach the storefront.

Scenarios

Cut down repeat support questions

Write the five questions your team answers most, in General and the relevant product groups. All of them appear in your help centre; add the FAQ block to the landing page for that product to show the product group there too.

Explain your refund rules in plain words

Write the formal version in Content Pages, then add the common questions to the Refund Policy group.

Retire a seasonal question

Set its status to hidden rather than deleting it, so you can bring it back next season.

Questions

How do I control the order? Display Order, within a group. Lower numbers first.

Can one FAQ be in two groups? No. Create a second FAQ.

Why is an FAQ in English on my Arabic pages? It has no Arabic translation, so the storefront shows the English one. Check the Languages column.

Where do FAQ block defaults come from? The platform provides them when the group of that page has no visible FAQs of your own.
