Receipts

A receipt is the money side of a transaction. Every booking has one, and so does every payment made against a payment link. When a customer says "I was charged and got nothing", this is where you start.

Finding a receipt

The table shows Receipt Number, Tracking Code, Type and Total Price.

Search by Receipt Number, Tracking Code or Total Price. Sort by Newest or Oldest. Receipt number and tracking code are click-to-copy.

The tracking code is filled in once the payment goes through. It is the payment reference to quote when you raise a question about a payment — the receipt number is only meaningful inside your panel.

Buy and Sell

Every receipt is typed:

  • Sell — you are the seller. A customer bought from your storefront, or paid one of your payment links.
  • Buy — you are the buyer. Your platform bought the product from its supplier.

A booking usually produces both.

Opening a receipt

Show receipt details gives you the receipt number, total price, tracking code, type, and the created and updated timestamps — plus Items: the individual lines, each with a title, count, price and discount price.

Coupons are not itemised on receipts. A coupon's value is paid into the customer's wallet from your marketing wallet before the order is charged, so the receipt carries the full price even though the customer brought less of their own money.

Matching a receipt to an order

A receipt is created together with its order, when the customer places it. Receipt numbers appear on the order screens, so the lookup runs in either direction:

A receipt whose order is Cancelled after payment is the case that needs attention. It means the customer was charged but the supplier could not issue the booking. The money went back to that customer's own wallet on your storefront, and applies automatically the next time they book — they are not charged twice. Have the tracking code to hand if you need to escalate it.

Troubleshooting

No tracking code. The payment has not gone through yet, so the order is still Pending — or it is a tour paid on site, where no payment passes through the platform.

The total does not match what the customer says. A coupon they used is not on the receipt, and a currency difference can also explain the gap.
